Lazy Daisy Stitch Tutorial

To do the lazy daisy stitch, start by threading your needle and knotting the end of the embroidery floss. In this video, I used three strands. Start at the back of the fabric, pulling your needle and thread through the fabric at the point where the leaf meets the stem (or the petal meets the middle of the flower). Take your needle back through the same hole, creating a loop with the embroidery floss (do not pull tight). Bring your needle up through the middle of the loop, at the point where the petal or leaf makes a tip. Pull so the loop is secure (gently). Anchor the loop to the fabric with one single stitch from the inside of the loop over the loop. Tie off.
